Lino Printing

Spend two hours exploring the traditional art of lino printing, from creating your design through to the finished print. You’ll learn how to transfer your design onto lino, carve your own printing block and use traditional inking and printing techniques to create a series of hand-pulled prints on beautiful professional printing paper. You’ll also take home your finished lino block, which can be used to print from time and time again.

Mono Printing

Take some time to slow down and explore the simple pleasure of monoprinting in this 1.5 hour workshop. Working from an image of your choice, you’ll create an acetate printing plate and use it to make a one-off trace print. There’s no pressure to be “good at art” - just the enjoyment of following an image, experimenting with the process and, finally, pulling your print to reveal the finished piece.

Tote-ally Creative!

Create a tote bag that’s completely your own in this two-hour workshop. You’ll design and make a fabric stamp, learn how to ink and print with it, and experiment with your design before creating your finished tote bag. You’ll take home your printed bag along with your handmade stamp, which can be used again and again for future projects.

Impressionist Painting

There’s no need to be a great artist to enjoy this 2 hour Impressionist painting workshop. You’ll be guided step by step through a relaxed landscape painting, exploring traditional Impressionist techniques such as broken colour and impasto. Rather than worrying about getting everything perfect, you’ll work with loose, expressive brushstrokes to capture colour, movement and a moment in time. It’s a wonderfully achievable and satisfying way to paint, whether you’re picking up a brush for the first time or you’re someone who insists they “can’t paint”! You’ll leave with your very own Impressionist canvas.

Collaborative Lino Printing

A playful twist on lino printing where everyone creates a piece of the finished picture. Half the group will carve a simple fruit bowl, while the other half will carve something to go inside it – perhaps apples and oranges, or something a little more unexpected like cats, fish or teddy bears! The plates are designed to fit together, so when printed one on top of the other, the contents appear to sit inside the bowl.

Once everyone has made their plate, you can mix and match them to create all sorts of wonderfully unexpected prints. A fun, sociable way to try lino printing, get everyone involved and see what you can create together.
