COURSES
I offer a number of different courses throughout the year including impressionist painting, lino printmaking, and an introduction to printmaking techniques.
Printmaking - 6 week course

This course is designed to provide an introduction to the world printmaking, making it an ideal choice for beginners.
Throughout the course, you will have the opportunity to learn various relief printmaking techniques, including Mono-print, Lino, Dry point etching and botanical printing.
You will be encouraged to create artwork inspired by your own interests and photos, allowing you to explore your creativity and develop your skills.
By the end of the course, you will have produced some wonderful prints to take home, and in the case of the lino sessions and dry point, you will have printing blocks that you can keep and re-print from again and again!

Lino printmaking- 6 week course

This course is designed to provide an introduction to the world lino.
Throughout the course, you will have the opportunity to learn various lino techniques including creating texture, transferring your design and multi-block printing.
You will be encouraged to create artwork inspired by your own interests and photos, allowing you to explore your creativity and develop your skills.
By the end of the course, you will have produced some wonderful prints to take home, and you will have a printing block that you can keep and re-print from at home as many times as you desire.

Impressionist Painting - 6 week course

This course is an introduction to Impressionist Landscape painting using acrylic paints. It is perfect for beginners but suitable for all abilities.
The first few weeks will focus on learning Impressionist painting techniques such as visible brush strokes, broken colour, impasto and wet on wet.
In the following weeks, if weather permits we will paint on canvas, in the traditional style "en plain air" in the commons or by the river in Cambridge. (On rainy days we will paint on canvas in the studio!).
You will end the course with a clear understanding of how to paint in the Impressionist style and with beautiful canvas paintings of Impressionist landscapes.
