I offer a range of courses throughout the year, including painting, lino printing and printmaking, with new creative experiences added regularly.

Introduction to Printmaking - 6 week course
Discover the exciting world of printmaking in this inspiring course, designed especially for beginners and those keen to explore a variety of creative techniques.
Over the course, you'll be introduced to a range of relief and intaglio printmaking methods, including monoprint, lino printing, drypoint etching and botanical printing. Through step-by-step demonstrations and expert guidance, you'll learn the unique qualities of each process while building your confidence and skills.
You'll be encouraged to develop original artwork inspired by your own interests and photographs, giving you the freedom to experiment, express your creativity and create prints that are uniquely yours.
By the end of the course, you'll have produced a beautiful collection of hand-printed artwork to take home. You'll also keep your lino blocks and drypoint plates, so you can revisit your favourite designs, experiment with new colours and papers, and continue your printmaking journey.

Lino printmaking- 6 week course
Discover the creative possibilities of lino printmaking in this fascinating course, where you'll learn traditional techniques and create your own original prints.
Over the course, you'll learn a range of traditional and contemporary lino printing techniques, including creating texture, transferring your own designs, multi-block and multi-colour printing, and chine collé. With step-by-step guidance throughout, you'll gain the confidence to experiment and develop your own unique style.
You'll be encouraged to create original prints inspired by your own ideas, interests and photographs, making each piece personal and unique.
By the end of the course, you'll have produced a collection of beautiful hand-printed artworks to take home, along with your carved lino blocks so you can continue printing and creating editions of your designs long after the course has finished.

Impressionist Painting - Day Course
Escape for a day of creativity and discover the joy of painting in the Impressionist style. This delightful workshop is perfect for beginners, while offering plenty to engage those with more painting experience.
The day begins in the studio, where you'll explore the key techniques used by the Impressionist masters. Through step-by-step demonstrations and guidance, you'll learn how to create expressive paintings using visible brushstrokes, broken colour and impasto.
Then, weather permitting, we'll head outdoors to paint en plein air in one of Cambridge's beautiful riverside or common locations. Surrounded by natural light and inspiring scenery, you'll experience the traditional way Impressionist artists captured the changing colours and atmosphere of the landscape. If the weather isn't kind, we'll continue painting on canvas in the comfort of the studio.
By the end of the day, you'll have gained confidence in Impressionist painting techniques, created your own original acrylic landscape on canvas, and enjoyed a relaxing, inspiring day immersed in art.
(Please bring a picnic lunch and drinks to enjoy during our break while painting outdoors. We'll pause to relax and take in the beautiful surroundings before continuing with the afternoon session.)
